Oconee Christian Academy took a 74-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cambridge Academy on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Oconee Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Frick, who scored 23 points along with six assists. That was a full 37.7% of Oconee Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Duncan, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Cambridge Academy was led to victory by Maddox Lee and Andrew Wiley. Lee shot 6-for-11 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine assists, while Wiley dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds. Noah Harvley was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Oconee Christian Academy now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Cambridge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.
