When it comes to explaining why Madisonville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Olyvia Brooks. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brooks has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Myreul Wheaton, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Jacksonville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Madisonville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5.
Jacksonville will head out on the road to square off against Hudson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madisonville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rusk at 6:00 p.m. Rusk has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
