King & Queen Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mathews 50-16 at home. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded King & Queen Central with their most commanding win of the season.
Janiya Brown was a one-man wrecking crew for King & Queen Central as she scored 21 points. It was the first time this season that Brown scored 15 or more points. Amelia Moaney was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Even though Charles City has not done well against West Point recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Charles City walked away with a 50-37 win over West Point. The victory was just what Charles City needed coming off of a 61-40 loss in their prior contest.
King & Queen Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Charles City, they pushed their record up to 9-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
King & Queen Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Charles City when the teams last played back in January, winning 37-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for King & Queen Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
