The St. John Fighting Herald will challenge the Pymatuning Valley Lakers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
St. John barely beat Bristol the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fighting Herald blew past the Panthers 15-5 on Monday. The Fighting Herald might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Rylee Frasure, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Carney, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. John kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 16.2.
Mathews hit Pymatuning Valley with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 9-7. The Lakers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Allison Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Mackenzie Kribbs was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
St. John pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Pymatuning Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. John hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Pymatuning Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .420. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. John suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Pymatuning Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Fighting Herald avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
