Pleasant Ridge is 8-2 against Oskaloosa since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pleasant Ridge Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Oskaloosa Bears at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pleasant Ridge and three for Oskaloosa.
Pleasant Ridge's game on Tuesday was all tied up 18-18 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 42-35 to Jackson Heights.
Despite the defeat, Pleasant Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Brady Mance scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mance has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cooper Beying, who scored three points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oskaloosa had to suffer through a rough 67-38 loss at the hands of Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy. That's two games in a row now that Oskaloosa has lost by exactly 29 points.
Pleasant Ridge's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Oskaloosa, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Pleasant Ridge suffered a grim 60-37 defeat to Oskaloosa in their previous meeting last Wednesday. Can Pleasant Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
