Meanwhile, Orangeburg Prep put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northside Christian Academy with a sharp 49-28 victory. Given Orangeburg Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Northside Christian Academy is ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Orangeburg Prep, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Carolina Academy took a serious blow against Orangeburg Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 55-23. Can Carolina Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
