Jacob Monroe Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, New Hanover got the W thanks in part to Jacob Monroe playing the best football he has all season. Monroe threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
For the season, Monroe has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 240.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to three.

Topsail found a leader in Eli Hebron as the team took down South Brunswick on Friday. Nobody could stop Hebron as he threw for 124 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards.
The win made it two in a row for Topsail and bumps their season record up to 4-2. They and Hoggard are set to duel on Friday.

Hoggard Gets a Boost from Boring in 35-27 Victory
Matthew Boring's big game helped extend Hoggard's winning streak to six on Friday. Boring turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 315 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Hoggard pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They and Topsail are set to duel on Friday.
