After a string of three wins, Armstrong's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plum Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the River Hawks of the 62-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Plum, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Armstrong and Penn Hills will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plum will take on Shaler Area in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
