The Provo Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Park City Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Provo will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Provo is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Timpanogos 61-24. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won seven in a row.
Gehrig Orchard produced another solid performance throwing for 440 yards and seven TDs while completing 80% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Provo's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise. Ronnie Wright was in the mix as well, providing the Bulldogs with two scores.

Provo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Liam Schoenrock and Cole Schouman. Schouman also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Provo received some extra help from Makeli Toutai, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Park City was able to grind out a solid victory over Salem Hills on Friday, taking the game 30-17.
Provo better keep an eye on Josh Hofer. He was instrumental in Park City's win, rushing for 120 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 181 yards and a pair of TDs. Hofer's longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Park City proved: they limited Salem Hills to a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Wyatt Knapp for the heroic effort on defense: he. Park City's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.15 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.33 on average over their last five games.
Park City's defense didn't let Ryder Hales, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Knapp, Caleb Ingersol, and Matix Black, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Salem Hills' side was Knapp, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
Park City now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Provo, their record now sits at 3-4.
