The Dunn Earwigs came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Bradshaw Christian by a score of 55-48. The victory was all the more spectacular given Dunn's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while Bradshaw Christian is ranked 69th).
Several The Pride players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Jensen, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. Jensen scored a full 31.3% of Bradshaw Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. AJ Torres was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Dunn has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 4-4 record. As for Bradshaw Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Mission College Prep the next time they take the court. Dunn will head out to face Mission College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Bradshaw Christian will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
