Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
After a string of seven wins, Mobile Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of George County by a score of 42-39.
Despite the loss, Mobile Christian saw an underclassman step up: Hadley Kelly dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Kelly continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Caroline Booker was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Blacksher came up short against Mobile Christian two weeks ago and fell 54-42.
Mobile Christian has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 7-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Blacksher, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Mobile Christian beat Blacksher 54-42 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mobile Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
