Basketball Recap: Kaylynn Walls Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat First Baptist Academy

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy's game on Monday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down the First Baptist Academy Eagles 54-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylynn Walls out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Walls' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Foster, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 20 rebounds.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for First Baptist Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairview Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Baptist Academy, they will head out to challenge Clayton-Bradley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
