Guerin Catholic (Noblesville, Ind.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 27-0 victory over
Indianapolis Marshall (Indianapolis, Ind.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Brian Matthews in the second quarter, Guerin Catholic led 13-0 at the half.
GC scored 14 points in the fourth quarter on the way to a win.
Coming into the game the Noblesville school had allowed 22.1 points per game this year. Guerin Catholic held firm on the defensive front, and kept Indianapolis Marshall well below the 24.8 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Indianapolis Marshall defeated Greensburg 32-27 last week. The win brought Guerin Catholic's winning streak to three games.
