The Northeast Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Jordan Red Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Northeast pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spencer. Northeast has not had much luck with Spencer recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Amani Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. Kavon Conciauro was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jordan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were dealt a 73-32 loss at the hands of Spencer. While losing is never fun, Jordan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Spencer is ranked 127th).
Northeast has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Jordan, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Northeast beat Jordan 58-46 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Northeast repeat their success, or does Jordan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
