The Inspiration Academy Lions will take on the Avon Park Red Devils at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Inspiration Academy 3.9, Avon Park 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Inspiration Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Barron Collier.

Jackson Hungle looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Anthony Mejias and Ty Harvey did most of the damage at the plate: Mejias scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Harvey scored two runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits Mejias has posted since back in April of 2024.
Inspiration Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Barron Collier only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Avon Park was able to grind out a solid win over IMG Academy Blue on Tuesday, taking the game 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Ascenders: they've now won three in a row.
Eric Harrison made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cam Engler, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Inspiration Academy pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Avon Park, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
