Last Saturday, Living Word Lutheran strolled past New Holstein with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. Living Word Lutheran's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Living Word Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Kaleah Alles, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Alles' third in a row with at least ten points. Elise Raymond was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Francis was beaten by Catholic Central 74-30 on Thursday.
Their wins bumped Living Word Lutheran to 4-0 and New Holstein to 1-6.
Everything went Living Word Lutheran's way against St. Francis in their previous meeting back in January as Living Word Lutheran made off with a 69-44 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was St. Francis' Kyana Aguilera, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
