Basketball Recap: Rock Hill Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Nation Ford came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Rock Hill, but Kyriq Dickens wouldn't allow it. The Rock Hill Bearcats came out on top against the Nation Ford Falcons by a score of 65-57 on Thursday thanks in part to Dickens, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Nation Ford lost, don't look at Ben Chuttey. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Pryer, who put up 12 points.

Rock Hill pushed their record up to 6-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Nation Ford, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will challenge Northwestern at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season. As for Nation Ford, they will face off against Catawba Ridge at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Nation Ford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Catawba Ridge likes a good challenge.
