AA Region 2 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Vidalia extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 2 this week by beating Atkinson County, 35-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Vidalia took down the Rebels 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Thanks to the talents of Jacob Turner and Josh Berry Long County has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Turner leads the league in passing with 311 yards, while Berry has rushed for 492 yards this season. Jeff Davis's Quay Black leads the league in receiving yards with 151 on 12 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Benedictine takes on Bacon County. The Cadets are in second place, while the Raiders are in fifth place.
Lee Chomskis' team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Atkinson County.
