The Temescal Canyon Titans will face off against the Quartz Hill Royals at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Quartz Hill's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them  on Saturday: Temescal Canyon hadn't allowed a single  run the last four times they've hit the field. Temescal Canyon's pitcher stepped up to hand Tahquitz  a   17-0 shutout  on Friday. Temescal Canyon's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 JESSENIA MOORE tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  BREA TILLERY was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in February.  MAKAILA RIGGS was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
 Temescal Canyon  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. They are 8-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile, Quartz Hill won against Palmdale  on Tuesday with 14  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. The Royals didn't even let Knight on the board, marking the Royals' second-straight  14-0 shutout. The  victory was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won 12  games in a row.
Quartz Hill also got a great performance from  Dakota Ponder as she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nina Sepulveda, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Emily Cowan, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Quartz Hill pushed their record up to 13-4 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Temescal Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Saturday. Temescal Canyon hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 1.2  home runs per game. However, it's not like Quartz Hill struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.5  home runs.
