Basketball Recap: Stephen Moss Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Morningside Academy won the last time they faced Boca Raton Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Morningside Academy Eagles snuck past the Boca Raton Christian Blazers with a 79-74 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Morningside Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Stephen Moss out in front who went 9 of 13 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moss a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Chang, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Good, who went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points and five steals. The matchup was Good's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Jeemias was another key player, putting up 21 points and five assists.

Morningside Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Boca Raton Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.
