The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Boulder City and snuck past 50-47. For Sports Leadership & Management, this counts as revenge for the 46-29 loss Boulder City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Tavara Swonger was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ross, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Boulder City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Julia Carmichael. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Addie Doane was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Sports Leadership & Management's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Boulder City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sports Leadership & Management will take on Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Boulder City, they will head out on the road to take on Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
