Menlo-Atherton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Mountain View Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Menlo-Atherton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
Menlo-Atherton fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Sacred Heart Prep but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Gators 27-21.
Although Menlo-Atherton took the loss, they still got scores from Alek Marshall and Owen Van loben sels.
Meanwhile, Mountain View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Los Gatos 55-2. While losing is never fun, Mountain View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Los Gatos is ranked 75th).
The losses dropped Menlo-Atherton to 2-5 and Mountain View to 3-4.
