Basketball Recap: Hamtramck Skates Past Eastpointe with Ease

Hamtramck entered their tilt with Eastpointe on Sunday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Eastpointe Shamrocks, posting a 77-21 win. The Cosmos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Shamrocks, too.

Hamtramck's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Eastpointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Hamtramck and East Kentwood will round out the year against one another at at 4:55 p.m. on Saturday. Hamtramck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully East Kentwood likes a good challenge. As for Eastpointe, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
