They were the victim of a tough 47-27 defeat at the hands of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill. Neuse Christian Academy has struggled against the Lion recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Neuse Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ella Grace Johnson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Zaria Washington was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Ashlyn Lange, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill. Lange is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Neuse Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Neuse Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chancellors at 4:15 p.m. on February 8th. St. Thomas More Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
