Basketball Recap: Bridgman Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Bridgman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-48 win over the Michigan Lutheran Titans. The Bees have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Despite the loss, Michigan Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Ty Johnson, who went 7 for 12 en route to 21 points and six boards. Those 21 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Anthony Ealey was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bridgman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Michigan Lutheran, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Bridgman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-49 defeat against Coloma on the 16th. As for Michigan Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-43 victory against Our Lady of the Lake Catholic on the 17th.
