Meanwhile, Greenbrier entered their tilt with White House with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Greenbrier came out on top against White House by a score of 66-57 on Friday.
Greenbrier's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Carson, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Carson posted eight or more assists. Nate Castleman was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Cheatham County Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Greenbrier, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Monday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Cheatham County Central have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 24.9 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Greenbrier, though, as they've been averaging only 29.6 rebounds per game. Given Cheatham County Central's sizeable advantage in that area, Greenbrier will need to find a way to close that gap.
