The Alpine Bucks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Greenwood 84-63. Considering Alpine has won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, Greenwood still got an impressive performance from Tatum Pierce, who scored 24 points. The contest was Pierce's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Prieto, who scored 14 points.
Alpine pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Greenwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Alpine will face off against Fort Stockton at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Stockton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. Greenwood will be home for the holidays to greet Snyder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Snyder will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1417th, while Greenwood is ranked 304th).
