The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vasquez, who took down 956th ranked Silver Valley, 24-19. Brian McCauley threw for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Austyn Fink and Jadrian Wiser provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Riverside Prep. The connection went for 70 yards, the longest such play in Desert Mountain this season.
Boron's dynamic duo of Fink and Wiser proved tough for the Silver Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fink threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns and Wiser had 159 yards receiving. D.J. Payne helped Boron's passing attack out by catching three balls for 55 yards.
Tyler Wormhoudt was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 105 yards as Mammoth bested Riverside Prep. Alex Hamilton also contributed to the rushing game with 65 yards on the ground.
Boron's Fink and Wiser have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fink has thrown for 2027 yards this season, while Wiser, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 38 catches for 817 yards. Wormhoudt from the Huskies leads the league in rushing with 791 yards.
A big matchup in Desert Mountain this week will be when Greg Bailey's team takes on the Trojans. The Silver Knights are in fifth place, while Silver Valley is in third place.
Todd Fink's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Riverside Prep, 50-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bobcats.
