The Abbott Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Penelope 50-0 at home. Considering Abbott has won eight matchups by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Abbott's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Schulz, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Schulz was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Riley Sustala was another key contributor, rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Abbott's victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.64 points. As for Penelope, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Abbott will head out on the road to face off against Gholson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gholson is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Penelope, they will be playing at home against Coolidge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
