Madison-Ridgeland Academy is a perfect 10-0 against Jackson Academy since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Madison-Ridgeland Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Jackson Prep, who was ranked 21st at the time (Madison-Ridgeland Academy was ranked third). Madison-Ridgeland Academy took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Jackson Prep. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

A big part of Madison-Ridgeland Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Samuel Stockett and his top target Case Thomas. Stockett threw for 312 yards and three TDs while picking up 14.2 yards per attempt while Thomas picked up 200 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 200 receiving yards gave Thomas a new career-high. Colson O'Cain helped Stockett out on the ground, rushing for 98 yards and one score on only ten carries.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson Prep only rushed for 156.
Meanwhile, Jackson Academy was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They enjoyed a cozy 41-22 win over Hartfield Academy. The Raiders' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy better keep an eye on Josef Walker. He was instrumental in Jackson Academy's win, throwing for 197 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 35 yards and one TD. 80 of Walker's passing yards were hauled in by O'Mari Johnson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jackson Academy's defense and their 8.5 sacks. TJ White was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four himself. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6 total tackles per game. Jackson Academy got some further help from Dereon Albert: he picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy's record is now 4-1. As for Jackson Academy, their record now sits at 4-0.
