They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arroyo Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Desert Christian Academy over Vasquez in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Conquerors blew the Mustangs out of the water with a 48-6 final score. Considering the Conquerors have won nine games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Desert Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Mario Gallo, who threw for 229 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. The Conquerors' leading receiver Nathdaniel Guerrero was Gallo's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 48 yards.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Arroyo Valley has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 304.4 rushing yards per game.
