On Tuesday, Buckeye Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Comets, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory.
Several Comets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maycee Muselin, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Hill, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Buckeye Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Elgin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckeye Central will challenge the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carey presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bucks in Ohio (the Blue Devils are ranked 122nd, while the Bucks are ranked 474th). As for Elgin, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Scioto Valley is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
