Coalfield AA recap September 24, 2013
Jacob Thayer and Dalton Davis provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Roane County. The connection went for 78 yards, the longest such play in Coalfield AA this season.
Monroe was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 15th to eighth in the league. The Mavericks defeated PikeView 24-13 earlier in the week.
Webster County's dynamic duo of Thayer and Davis proved to be unstoppable against the Raiders, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Thayer threw for 130 yards and Davis had 117 yards receiving.

Brian Witt was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 91 yards on 11 carries as Wyoming East fell to Tom Hardman's team. Teammate Aaron Griffith added to the ground attack by rushing for 66 yards.
John Morgan made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors fell to Summers County. The 6-foot-3 junior.
Thayer put up the best numbers through the air as Wes Eddy's team fell to the Raiders.
Davis was the best wideout in Coalfield AA this week as the Highlanders fell to Roane County.
Webster County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Highlanders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Thayer has thrown for 417 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Davis has 17 catches for 396 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Greenbrier West takes on the Bobcats. The Cavaliers are in third place, while Summers County is in first place.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Nate Tanner's team beat Wyoming East 17-14,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bobcats.
