Evergreen and Lindbergh are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wolverines will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen will be strutting in after a win while Lindbergh will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Evergreen beat Foster 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Riley Coughlin and Wilder Amechazurra made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Coughlin didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Amechazurra tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Evergreen's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 0-2-1 when he doesn't). At bat, Coughlin went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double, while Amechazurra went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those seven stolen bases gave Amechazurra a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jose Cardenas, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Cardenas is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Lindbergh was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against Chief Sealth, falling 11-1. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Lindbergh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Steiner, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Steiner's first of the season.
Lindbergh suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Evergreen, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Evergreen has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lindbergh struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Evergreen got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Lindbergh by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
