The Union County Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 45-35 to Shenandoah. Union County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shenandoah apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shenandoah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rory McKnight, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals. McKnight hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Gabbi Patrick was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 14 rebounds.
Union County bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Shenandoah, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will play host again and welcome Hagerstown, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hagerstown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Shenandoah, they will be playing at home against Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
