Ezra Merrell turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Coconino is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-5-1 otherwise.

Merrell's effort led Coconino over Lee Williams and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coconino is 8-2 against Lee Williams going back to March of 2020, a lead they'll look to extend.
