Luis Echevarria Game Report: @ Heathwood Hall Episcopal

Luis Echevarria, Cardinal Newman's leader in assists on the season, led the team again on Friday. Echevarria wasn't messing around, putting up 16 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The matchup was his fifth straight with 16 or more points. While that hot streak is impressive, perhaps more impressive is what he's done for his team: he's posted a third or more of Cardinal Newman's points for eight straight games.

Echevarria and Cardinal Newman will head out on the road to face off against Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals had to take a loss when they last met the Skyhawks, but Echevarria had little to do with the loss: he went 7 for 14 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.
