The Celina Bobcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pinkston 57-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Celina, who have now won six matches by 31 points or more so far this season.
Celina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Knox Porter out in front who threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Logan Gutierrez was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Celina's victory was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.17 points. As for Pinkston, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Celina will head out on the road to face off against Panther Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Panther Creek is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Pinkston, they will be playing at home against North Dallas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Dallas is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
