Despite the defeat, Lake Pointe Academy had strong showings from Christian Mayhall, who scored 18 points, and Joshua Luke, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mayhall has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keagan Hiser, who scored eight points.
Westgate Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Lake Pointe Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Westgate Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton Park Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully the Eagles likes a good challenge.
