Picayune lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pass Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Picayune Maroon Tide were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Pass Christian Pirates on Friday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Maroon Tide this season.

Picayune is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. Pass Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Picayune will be playing in front of their home fans against Sumrall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sumrall will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Picayune surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pass Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Kosciusko on the 8th.
