The Northwest Yeshiva Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 68-47 walloping at the hands of Eastside Prep. Northwest Yeshiva has struggled against Eastside Prep recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Weichbrodt, who scored 18 points. Weichbrodt scored a full 38.3% of Northwest Yeshiva's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Evan Kaufthal, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Northwest Yeshiva's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Eastside Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Yeshiva will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Puget Sound Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Puget Sound Adventist and Northwest Yeshiva are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Eastside Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
