The Cane Bay Cobras will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Goose Creek Gators at 7:30 p.m. Cane Bay will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Cane Bay posted their closest victory since December 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They skirted past Berkeley 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Isaac Smalls continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Curtrell Dixon was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, even though Stratford scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Goose Creek still came out on top. Goose Creek walked away with a 71-58 victory over Stratford.
Shane Potts was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Quell Brown, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Cane Bay has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Goose Creek, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Cane Bay beat Goose Creek 61-54 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Does Cane Bay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Goose Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
