The Cromwell Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 80-67 to Carlton/Wrenshall. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (59), Cromwell still had to take the loss.
Cromwell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brady Dahl, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, and Dylan Nyberg who scored 22 points. Nyberg continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tucker Korpi, who scored six points.
Cromwell has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Carlton/Wrenshall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Cromwell will be playing at home against Floodwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Floodwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Carlton/Wrenshall's road trip will continue as they head out to face Moose Lake/Willow River at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th.
