The Gainesville Christian Community Warriors were the 52-51 winner over the Hart 2 Hart Academy Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Gainesville Christian Community ended up on the wrong side of a tough 27-7 walloping at the hands of Hart 2 Hart Academy on Thursday.
Hart 2 Hart Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Keen, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks. Keen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landon Shipp, who scored four points along with two blocks.
Gainesville Christian Community's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.
Gainesville Christian Community won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westwood Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Westwood Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against First Assembly Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Assembly Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.5 points per game.
