After two games on the road, Mahtomedi is heading back home. They will take on the Providence Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, everything went Mahtomedi's way against St. Croix Lutheran as Mahtomedi made off with a 57-37 win.
Meanwhile, Providence Academy came up short against Hortonville on Saturday and fell 95-86. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (85), Providence Academy still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Maddyn Greenway, who dropped a triple-double on 43 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. She scored a full 50% of Providence Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Counts, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Jordan's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Mahtomedi's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
Mahtomedi might still be hurting after the 74-54 defeat they got from Providence Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Mahtomedi, Grace Counts (who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
