In what's become a running theme this season, East Lincoln gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Foard as East Lincoln made off with a 77-51 win. Winning may never get old, but East Lincoln sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Emma Montanari continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-9 from deep and dropping a triple-double on 33 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of East Lincoln's points. Another player making a difference was Kiara Anderson, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
St. Stephens' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for East Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Tuesday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Blevins and Montanari. Blevins has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 17.6 points, 2.5 steals, and 7.5 rebounds. For her part, Montanari has averaged 18.8 points, 6.6 steals, and 2.5 blocks.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: St. Stephens have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 30.9 rebounds per game. It's a different story for East Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging only 37.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
