It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Buena Vista Demons can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 28-7 walloping at the hands of Meeker on Saturday. Buena Vista was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Hudson Wingo threw for 149 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Camp was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Meeker to victory were Clay Crawford and Cade Blunt. Crawford rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown, while Blunt rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns.
Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Meeker, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Meeker will take on Limon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Limon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
