The St. Augustine Catholic Wolves waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Gregory School 60-31 at home. St. Augustine Catholic has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Augustine Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Megan Callahan, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Carolina Georgelous, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
St. Augustine Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for The Gregory School, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine Catholic will take on Chandler Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gregory School won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against San Simon at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. San Simon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
