After losing to the Boonville Pioneers the last time they met, the Mt. Vernon Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Mt. Vernon came out on top against Boonville by a score of 52-45 on Friday.
It was another big night for Nicot Burnett, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Meyer Robb was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Boonville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

As for Boonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Park at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville is coming into the matchup with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Forest Park will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
