The Marquette Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Vianney Golden Griffins at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Marquette will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Vianney is ranked 13th).
Last Friday, Marquette earned a 53-44 win over McCluer. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marquette.
Meanwhile, Vianney unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 71-56 bruising from Collinsville. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
The victory got Marquette back to even at 4-4. As for Vianney, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Marquette strolled past Vianney in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 68-51. Does Marquette have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vianney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
